If you are interested in information about becoming a CAP cadet, here are some important things to know:

You may join at early as age 12 and up until the day before your 19th birthday.
Most squadrons require potential cadets to attend an orientation program that helps them understand what is involved in becoming a CAP cadet and what to expect as a CAP member.
Visit the CAP national website for more information about the cadet program, including a squadron locator, FAQs, and information for parents of future cadets. Use the information provided in the locator to contact the squadron you are interested in joining. If there is more than one squadron near you, it's a good idea to visit your available options.
